Delete your Trod account

You can permanently delete your Trod account in the app. If you cannot open Trod, you can start the request by email.

Delete it in the app

Open Trod.
Go to the You tab.
Open Settings.
Under Account, tap Delete account.
Type the confirmation word shown in the app and confirm.

Account deletion cannot be undone.

Cannot open the app?

Send the request from the email address used for your Trod account. Put Trod account deletion in the subject. We may ask for limited information to verify that the account belongs to you.

We will complete a verified request without undue delay and normally within 30 days.

What is removed

For a signed-in account, deletion removes or unlinks:

Your authentication account, email association, profile, handle, avatar file, and account preferences.
Your explored-area map, city and country progress, Atlas and passport records, landmarks, quests, streaks, coins, steps, and related game history.
Your private saved places, including their coordinates and notes.
Your friendships, friend requests, blocks, cheers, shared quests, circle membership, and registered push tokens.
Account-scoped Trod caches on the device where you perform the deletion.

What can remain

Community gems: submitted gem content can remain for moderation or public display. Trod removes the reporter ID link when the account is deleted. Email us with enough detail to identify a gem if you want its content reviewed for removal.
Circles: a circle you created can continue for its remaining members. Your account membership and creator link are removed.
Diagnostics and security logs: crash reports or hosting logs that are not used to recreate your account can remain for their configured security and reliability retention periods.
Backups: deleted records can remain temporarily in encrypted provider backups until those backups rotate. They are not used to keep a deleted account active.
Copies held by other people: deletion cannot remove screenshots or information another user already saved outside Trod.

Guest data

A guest has no server account. Using Delete account as a guest clears Trod's local guest progress and returns the app to its welcome screen. Uninstalling also removes ordinary app storage from that device, subject to the device platform's backup settings.

Important

Signing out does not delete the account.
Uninstalling Trod does not delete a signed-in account.
Deleting a Google account does not automatically send Trod an account-deletion request.
